The Creator of the universe who spoke billions of stars into existence and knows how many hairs are(or aren't ;) )on your head loves you, his ear is inclined to you, his hand is streached out towards you, his Spirit is in you, and your future FOREVER is found in Him.

In todays age we tend to identify ourselves with our heros or other important people. Some people know everything about theit icon or idol. One may say, "I know the president." While another may say something about one cousin of theirs, or who they are "going out with."

What boggles my mind is the fact that God, yes, very GOD knows me! It's not just that I know about him. I don't just know about God, but I know him and he knows me. What an awesome thing. It literally dwarfs any other knowledge there is.

Stop for a moment and think about it. Right now, wherever you are, no matter what's going on around or in your life He is there. Right there with you. I love how David put it:

Psalm 139

God's Perfect Knowledge of Man

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
2You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.
5You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.

7Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me,"
Even the night shall be light about me;
12Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

13For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother's womb.
14I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

17How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
18If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.

Wow!!!!!!! How precious are His thoughts for you my brother and my sister in Christ. Be comforted and rejoice in your God who loves you with an everlasting love. There is noone like the Lord. His ways are wonderous, and in his presence there is pleasure forevermore! :)

Kevin,

Thank you! That was a good word and timely, too. One that should be meditated upon and heeded! Too often we lose sight of what really is and is not important. Again, thank you!!

God Bless!!

It is mind boggling isn't it?! :cool: Why God would love us and go to the extreem of the cross to win us back.

Have we ever stopped and asked WHY? Why did God save us?
I think the answer is that he loves us and wants us to be with him forever.

I remember as a kid in elementry school. In Gym class we would play dodge-ball and the teacher would appoint two captains who in turn got to pick their team. It was a traumatic experience for some kids, even me at times. We wanted to be picked, and to be picked soon. It made one feel popular or important. If you and "sickly susie" were the last two to be picked and they picked her over even you then it felt like the ultimate rejection.

Well, with God, it's not like that. When he picked you and I he did so with love and desire. You aren't some tag along in God's Kingdom, but royalty; kings, queens, and priests. You and I are family. His very children, sons and daughters!!!!

He WANTED you and I. I love how John says it in 1st John:

1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!

Blessings! :)

God's love is amazing isn't it? He wants to be with me all the time. Not just part of the time, but ALL of the time. Who am I that God, the creator of the universe would take notice of me? I say with David, (Psalm 8:4) What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

I love Him so.

I was always the last kid to be picked in elementary and middle school. It was so humulating. :( :rolleyes:

I don't want to think about the bad memories in school. My life is so much better now and all because of my Lord and Savior.
