I liked Johnny Cash and his music. I saw a TV special some time ago that said that he had turned to the Lord -- and I'm very glad for that. :)

As long as I can remember, I have loved Johnny Cash's music. I also appreciated his fight, in public, with his demons. He never tried to blame others or problems. He took the responsibility himself. I admire that.
I am sad that he is gone. I am confident that I will see him again.
When my daughter was an infant, she would cry and cry, until we put Johnny Cash music on. Then she would instantly get quite and enjoy the songs.
Great voice, good man.

There was something about his voice that was down to earth. It's like he always sang about reality instead of some surreal topic. Very relaxing to listen to. :)

I always loved Johnny Cash. He was a favorite of mine. June Carter Cash died in May. The news said yesterday that he really died of a broken heart.

Billy Graham Mourns Johnny Cash
The evangelist mourns a longtime friend

Johnny Cash was not only a legend, but was a close personal friend. Johnny was a good man who also struggled with many challenges in his life.
Johnny was a deeply religious man. He and June came to a number of our Crusades over a period of many years. Ruth and I took a number of personal vacations with them at their home in Jamaica and in other places. They both were like a brother and sister to Ruth and me. We loved them.
We are praying that God will comfort his family and staff at this critical time. I look forward to seeing Johnny and June in heaven one day.

Johnny Cash really had an extraordinary way of moving people when he sang. Remember his song, "I crossed the line"? I really like it.

The song that stands out in my mind of his is "A Boy Named Sue."
