This particular Catholic cardinal admittled to shuffling homosexual priests to other unknowing churches, after allegations of their abuse surfaced. And now he is the only American cardinal to represent the Vatican at the popes funeral? :nervous: :doh:BY JONATHAN FINER THE WASHINGTON POST

BOSTON -- Cardinal Bernard Law left here in disgrace more than two years ago, resigning his position as Boston's Roman Catholic archbishop after revelations that he secretly transferred sexually abusive priests from unknowing parish to unknowing parish.

Now, to the astonishment and dismay of many Boston Catholics, Law has returned to the public spotlight after Pope John Paul II's death.

On Thursday, the Vatican announced that Law would be the only American prelate to lead one of nine daily Masses for the pope during a mourning period that follows his funeral today.Click here (http://www.heraldtribune.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050408/NEWS/504080323/-1/INDEX) to read the rest of the story.

Par for the course.

I get tired of saying it but Roman Catholicism is not now, nor has it been for many, many centuries a valid form of Christianity.

The fact that they put an "M" next to cross on the guys casket to honor Mary tells the tale. The cardinal giving the mass commended hios soul into the hands of Mary. Well, I got news for them. If it was Mary he was counting on he is screwed. Mary is powerless to save. They don't get it. Roman Catholicism is idolatry.

I know of two homosexuals who are Roman Catholics. One is a priest and the other is a married classical musician. I have had some very interesting conversations with both of them. IMO, neither of them are "saved."

The homosexual priest is extremely intelligent and he has studied Greek, Hebrew, Latin, Italian and Spanish (he is American), but when he went to Catholic seminary, it was much more academically rigorous then what it is today. In his opinion, the Americans have a lot of sexual hang-ups that can be traced directly back to when the puritanical pilgrims fled Great Britain because they refused to take a vow of loyalty to the Church of England and, thus, they came to North America in search of religious freedoms.

The homosexual classical musician is flamboyantly gay, yet he is married to a woman. He openly admits that he is not faithful to her, which makes me wonder why he stays married to her. It must be a matter of convenience. What is ironic is that he pushes the "conservative" agenda, which is traditionally anti-homosexual. This perplexes me. He is hoping that the Roman Catholic Church names a Nicaraguan as the next pope (I can't remember the name -- it begins with an O).

IMO, the Roman Catholic Church is not representative of the Body of Christ. However, it does seem to be a very powerful organization on a global level. All of the media outlets treat the Roman Catholic Church as if it is something very special. The amount of media coverage that is paid as a form of apparent homage is simply mind boggling.

Yet so many are converting over.
I have a family member that has been a catholic for close to a year now.
She and I try to not talk about any sort of spiritual conversation.
She has all the answers now, and to be honest I believe she would like to just not have much to do with me now.

I don't seem to sound rude but many become spiritual snobs.
This relative said to one of her friends it was about time to cut some ties. The comment was directed toward me.
Many ignore all the sexual acts that is going on in the church.
Like they approve. I am confused.
