Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last blast of the shofar (trumpet), the Tikiah Gadolah; for the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory" -- 1 Corinthians 15: 51-54

When the last trump sounds, we will be changed for all eternity and our mortality will be clothed with immortality!!! This corruptable flesh will put on incorruptable immortality!!! Hallejujah!!!

Passover seder. it also typifed the marriage arrangement as seen in Judaism
the father of the bride and the father groom,
or the most trusted serverants,
would sit and discuss or arrange the dowery and once agreed upon would toast or seal the covenant.
the wine would then be sealed and the groom would go to prepare a place for he and the bride to live (usually adjoined to his fathers house)
when he returned the grooms best man would announce his return for the bride,
and the horns would play and the trumpets blast,
and any and all who objected, were to then
:banana:speak up ---{or}-- Shut up:banana:
and usually there was a mock battle where the Groom overcame his enemies
and won his bride
and he would take her home where a large feast would take place.
the wine reopened and the bride and groom would seal their relationship then
Jesus calls us His bride
He went to prepare a place for us in His fathers house
He and the father already determined the covenant
His angels will announce His coming for the bride
He will hold the marriage feast of the Lamb
there He will seal our eternal residence
it all fits typically and anti-typically

Hi friends - :)
From the Scriptures in Zech.9:14, we read this trumpet blast will be that of the Lord - not of either an angel or mankind. Therefore, it would be similar to that first trumpet blast of God - in Ex.19:16-19, would it not?
Therefore, I believe, we have a trumpet blown rather than a shofar - as is described in Nu.10:1-2, that were made of hammered silver.
This would seem to be the trumpet blast for the first resurrection - at the return of Jesus Christ in His second advent to the earth. Zech.14:4-5 and Rev.19:11-16.

Greetings - :)
And there is another trumpet call by God in 1 Thes.4:16, for the rapture of the Church, that is seen meeting with the Lord Jesus, in the clouds of the sky, before the 'lawless one,' 'the man of evil,' who is the antichrist - is revealed.
The apostle Paul reveals to us in 2 Thes.2:3-8, the departure of the Church will take place and taken out of the way. And then the antichrist will be revealed and the seven years of tribulation will begin.
The first three and a half years of the tribulation will be one of peace. But the last three and a half years of it, according to Jesus, will be the worst conditions ever known to mankind - or ever will be. Mt.24:21-22.
Near the end of the tribulation, The wedding feast takes place - of the Lord Jesus wih His Church. Rev.19:7-8. Very quickly thereafter, Jesus is seen returning to the earth, with His Church, who are in His armies from heaven, in His second advent to the earth. Zech.14:4-5 and Rev.19:11-16.
The first resurrection takes place and the Lord establishes His kingdom here on earth for 1,000 years. Rev.20:4-5.
In Christ!
